Prayer – A Conversation with God
Posted by: cookie - May 04, 2012Lots of folks call me a Prayer Warrior. I really like being called that because I do believe so strongly in prayer. I think of prayer as a two way conversation with God. Who better to converse with but the creator of the universe? He is the maker and ruler of all things. Nothing is a surprise to him. Furthermore, He loves us, and proof of that is that He died for each of us on the cross to cover our sins.
I tend to “pray without ceasing” which means speaking with God all day long. I get in the car and pray to Him for alertness; I sit at the computer and talk to Him about what I should write; I seek His face when I awaken in the morning; I close the day with Him by thanking Him for the happenings of that particular day; when I receive the Prayer Chain from the church I talk with Him about each individual’s request whether it be personal health matters or matters that concern their loved ones.
I like recording in a journal what I pray about because I can go back to see how God answered my prayers. His answers can be yes, no, or it isn’t time to address this yet.
I think prayer should happen every day. There are always matters that need to be discussed with our Heavenly Father. So remember, always pray first, because by placing things in His care you will worry less and possibly not at all.
