Easter always brings thoughts of eternity.  Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave His life on the Cross so that we might have eternal life.  He didn’t have to do it but He chose to do it in obedience to God the Father.  Because He obeyed we have the hope of Heaven.

Living on the earth with a belief in Christ gives us opportunity to establish an intimacy with Him.  I personally feel like He’s my very best friend.  I can call on Him when the journey gets hard.  I can rejoice with Him when all is well.   As my awareness of other’s needs becomes greater I can do what He would do to help them.  Life with Christ brings me an assurance of His love and care.  Trusting in Him takes away fear and gives me a peace that passes all understanding.

If you haven’t yet become a Christ follower and would like to take that step now pray the following prayer:  Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your Forgiveness.  I believe that You died for my sins.  I want to turn from my sins.  I now invite You to come into my heart and life.  I want to trust and follow you as Lord and Savior.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen

If you prayed the prayer this is the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. Some things you can do to deepen this relationship: read your Bible every day, talk to God in prayer every day, tell others about Christ, attend and serve in a church that teaches about Christ, and show concern for others as Christ would.
