Has your decision-maker always worked well?  Well, if you’re anything like me, making decisions is difficult and I’ve been known to make some bad ones.  I’ve learned, however, that your very next decision can be a good one.

Seeking God first makes all the difference.  His mercies are new every morning.  Thank goodness!  Good advice is:  don’t sacrifice tomorrow’s opportunity on the altar of today’s desire.  We’ve encountered this often at LifeCare.  A young single woman comes in and discovers an unplanned pregnancy because of making a wrong decision about having sex outside of marriage. 

Her dreams might have included military service or college or some other involvement which could not include pregnancy.  Of course, there is great disappointment.

One of our desires in this situation is to help this young woman’s next decision be a good one:  choose life for her baby.  After this decision hope begins to blossom.  She is able then to strive toward her dreams once more.

God’s Word says – “But I have hope when I think of this:  The Lord’s love never ends; His mercies never stop; they are new every morning; Lord, Your loyalty is great.  I say to myself, “The Lord is mine, so I hope in Him.”  The Lord is good to those who hope in Him, to those who seek Him.  Lamentations 3:21-25 NCV
