Maria & Malcom

“LifeCare has made a great difference in my life just by being there for me. They were there for me when times were really hard and I had nothing for my son, Malcolm. The ladies cared about me and were always interested in me, not just my problems, but how I was doing. I greatly appreciate all they have done for me. I love shopping in the boutique for my son’s clothes. They always treated me good and big or small they always did a lot for me. LifeCare helped me grow closer to God by encouraging me to go to church. They always tried to get me on the right track with the Lord. Thank you for caring for others and having the heart to give to LifeCare. Great generosity helps people like me in time of need!”
Spring Has Sprung.............
Posted by: cookie |Even though the calendar doesn't show it, I think Spring is here. We're ex periencing such sunny warm days after such a long and unusually cold winter. This kinda reminds me of the experience a client has when they come to the Center for help. They are going through a most difficult time and long for good direction and solutions. It is amazing to walk through a healing time with them and watch them come out on the other side with hope and new goals for their lives. The following is a testimony of a precious young lady that came to us very much in need.
"I am very thankful for LifeCare of Brandon. They have helped me and my family in a major way. Not only with diapers, wipes, and clothes for my children, but when my family needed food they helped me find food. Truly I do not know what we would have done without their assistance during these very hard times. Recently I went through the Woman of Worth classes where I was releived of guilt and shame that I had carried for many years. LifeCare has helped me more than words can say. All of the classes are so uplifting and helpful. I would have been totally lost without LifeCare."
Obviously this young lady is experiencing Spring after a long hard winter.
Change Can Be Good............
Posted by: cookie |In the last few days the Center has been in the midst of staff changing offices and computers being moved from one place to another and plugged back in to power sources. All of this has made things a bit confusing and chaotic. The purpose of the change, however, will bring clarity and peace. Our work in the Center will run smoother.
I began to compare our temporary confusion and chaos to those who come seeking help from LifeCare. What we're all about is helping those who are experiencing a crisis that is creating confusion and chaos in their lives. We listen a lot to find out what struggles a young woman and many times a young man is having when they have to face an unplanned pregnancy. We endeavor to help them find answers to their questions. What do I do? How do I tell my mom and dad? How am I going to pay the doctor and hospital? How am I going to take care of a baby?
What a joy it is to come alongside our clients helping them make a plan that will bring order and purpose to their lives. We introduce them to a power source that can bring spiritual healing to broken places in their experiences. We bring hope to their circumstances. They begin to make good decisions as they make weekly visits to interact with a Life Coach. We watch as they grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually into responsible human beings.
Change can be very good especially in the lives of those we get to serve.
